December 2014 - Christmas Mood

December was a very cool month for me.

I made three Christmas trees in Hundvåg bydelshus, I had 5 Christmas dinners ; one in Byhaugen, one with the bekkefaret's team, one with my fritidsklubb's team (Hundvåg), one organised in hotel by Kommune and one with the roomates!
At the one at Byhaugen Jeanette served "Rømmegrøt". It is a kind of porridge made of sourcream and flour mixed with milk. I have never tasted something like this.. it is pretty weird, but when you are in Norway you should at least try it once.
By the way, we didn't do it on purpose but we cooked the typical Christmas meat of Norway (pork with a huge fat's layer).
Charlotte and I decorated the house as well to feel more the Christmas spirit! We made a Christmas tree of advertisements and hang christmas baubles all over the house. And of course we organised a secret Santa.
And in the morning of the 6th of December we found a surprise in our shoes..
(Hungarian, French and German  Saint Nicholas Tradition for kids not Spanish we found out)
The Christmas traditions in Norway seem to be a bit different,. They dance and sing around the christmas tree on christmas eve and they have the "Luciadagen" on the 13th of december. The schools celebrate the day and the kids eat lusseboller ( yellow tiny breads with Safran).
Charlotte and me saw that almost everybody has a triangle with Candles in the windows it is a kind of traditional decoration.

I had the Christmas feeling more than ever !
